Products Developed by GEOMATEC

Features

Super-Thin Temperature Sensors (~55µm element thickness, including film)

GEOMATEC's thin-film thermocouple is an extremely thin temperature sensor with an element thickness of only about 55µm (film included). The extreme thinness prevents gaps formed by unevenness in the thermocouple itself.
The thin-film thermocouple can be used for temperature measurement during molding and pressing, as well as in biochips.

Heat-Generating Glass and Plastics

GEOMATEC's transparent heater generates heat by conducting electricity through a transparent electrode applied on a glass or plastic substrate.
The transparent heater can be used as a material for windows in snowy regions, as a defroster for lights, or as an anti-clouding material for security cameras and optical sensor housings.

Product Overview

Thin-Film Thermocouples

The thin-film thermocouple measures temperature using a pattern formed on the film. It can be used for measurement of narrow areas and temperature distribution.
The thin-film thermocouple is a thin-film version of thermocouples used in a wide range of fields as temperature sensors. GEOMATEC uses its coating technology to form thermocouples on films of materials such as glass and polyimides.
Thin-film thermocouples fabricated on polyimide film substrates have an extremely thin element thickness of about 55μm including the film. Thin-film thermocouples detect temperature more accurately, as the device design eliminates gaps formed by unevenness in the thermocouple itself.
Thin-film thermocouples are also highly sensitive to increases and decreases in temperature, making them ideal temperature monitors for devices prone to sudden temperature changes.

Transparent Heaters

GEOMATEC's transparent heaters generate heat by conducting electricity through a transparent electrode applied on a glass or plastic substrate.
The amount of heat generated can be set as necessary, based on the shape of the substrate and the customer's requirements.
GEOMATEC's transparent heaters have high transmittance and stable heat generation.

Clear Heat

Clear Heat was developed to give snow-melting and condensation-preventing properties to proven shatterproof polycarbonate resin windows. (Clear Heat was jointly developed with Toho Sheet & Frame Co., Ltd.)
